Why At Ease?

This project started with a feeling.

Akshata and Pavan reached out to us because their home no longer felt easy to live in.

Gharacha ek portion nehmich congested ani low on light feel vhaycha.

They wanted a home that felt calm, open, and peaceful.

As we studied the space, we realized the thick internal walls were making the home feel tighter.

So we removed unnecessary walls, removed lofts to increase height, and combined the toilet and bathroom into one bigger washroom.

When we shared the 3D design, they loved the vision.

But during execution, there were doubts… especially about the wall panelling.

–“Reality madhe changla disel na?”But good design requires trust before it becomes visible.

And then came the fish tank debate.

Pavan la fish tank pahije hota, pan Akshata la nahi

Eventually… Pavan won.

And today, it’s one of their favourite corners of the house.

Slowly, the same home that once felt heavy… started feeling lighter, calmer, and more breathable.

Akshata finally got the peaceful minimal home she wanted.

And for Pavan, coming back home now feels exciting again.

That’s why this painting is called —“At Ease.”
